Robert Day, Senior Vice President at WATG Singapore, has dedicated over three decades to the fields of master planning and landscape design. It was under Robert’s leadership that WATG Singapore’s Planning and Landscape teams were established, which through the years have built a strong and versatile portfolio with several successful and award winning designs from throughout the region. He joined the Singapore office in 2008, after having spent the previous ten years in the company’s London and Irvine offices; his previous experience included working for Helber Hastert & Young, (WATG’s affiliated Planning firm) for several years in Singapore.
Recently Robert’s focus has been in providing master plan solutions across Asia, particularly in China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Some of his key contributions in planning have been; performing the role of a technical expert for Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism; formulation of the Phu Quoc Island 2050 Development Plan with Vietnam’s Kiang Giang Provincial Government; and preparation of a long term development master plan for Bahrain’s Hawar Island. He was also instrumental in the creation of master plans for the exclusive Sasakwa Hill Game Lodge, Tanzania; the Gary Player Thracian Cliffs Golf Resort on the Black Sea, Bulgaria.
